The Department of Smart Design aims to foster professionals who can create contents for smartphones, smart pads and smart TVs, using content development and production tools incorporating smart technologies. Students are provided with quality education to enhance their creativity and content designing skills so that they can create contents for kids and educational contents, etc.
The department also plans and develops smart contents in connection with the tourism sector, and fosters the necessary professionals specializing in smart contents development as well as e-publishing and web/app publishing. In addition, the department provides support for contents design and production for the IT/BT industries, and engages in exchanges with overseas design schools as a means to equip its students with global competency.
Furthermore, the department has signed collaboration agreements with design enterprises to provide specialization education and offer the 3+1 field practicum program, and Star Employment Training (SET) Program to its students so that they can gain hands-on experience and be better equipped with field application skills. The overseas language education system, excellent scholarship system, outstanding faculty members, modern facilities and advanced lab equipment of the department ensure that the students become superb IT smart designers who can turn into leaders in the design industry in the global era.
The Department of Sports Studies endeavors to produce outstanding sports instructors, who can contribute to the creation of a “sports culture” for public welfare, and manage and operate sports facilities and organizations, with the ultimate aim of national sports development. Students can major in either Physical Education or Sports Instruction.
Physical Education (Field of Major)
Students majoring in Physical Education are trained to become outstanding sports instructors, with the expertise, athleticism and teaching skills necessary to promote health among the general public and create a sports culture in their communities.
Sports Instruction (Field of Major)
Students majoring in Sports Instruction study theories and gain practical skills in relation to sports. They acquire scientific and practical teaching methods, and gain a sense of responsibility and creativity so that they can excel in various sports fields
Martial arts are not simply “physical exercise”; they extend beyond the realm of sports to encompass or contribute to medicine, politics, economy, culture, arts, contemporary films and animations. They are also considered a representative form of art and sports of Eastern culture.
Mastering the marital arts is also essential for police officers and bodyguards.
The Department of Police and Bodyguard Martial Arts produces police officers, bodyguards and prison guards, etc., but the ultimate objective is to cultivate the students’ global competency, in addition to their martial arts skills, so that they can become “international leaders in martial arts,” who can modernize, popularize and globalize martial arts. In addition, through the martial arts training, students train their body, mind and soul and develop good character so that they can contribute to society.
